Day 157: Booked Out

Today I’m reading a book by Patrick Lencioni called ‘The Five Dysfunctions of a Team‘.

I’ve already written in a previous post (called ‘Read to Lead’) on the importance of reading, but I’d love to take a second to reiterate it. I think it’s a sad day when, with the infinite wisdom of those that have been before us immortalised in the pages of vast numbers of books, we choose not to read anymore. Whether it’s pride or the inability to make time for it, it’s far too easy to fall out of the habit of reading. Please, please don’t! This is as much an encouragement to me as it is to you. Moving on…

I’m finding Lencioni’s book fascinating. So much so, in fact, that I want to try and finish it by the end of the evening. According to my Kindle app, I’m 55% of the way there. If you are part of a team, lead a team or aspire to do either of those things, I couldn’t recommend this book more fervently. It’s fantastic! If you’ve read it, let me know what you think of it, as always, I’d love to hear from you.
