Today is one of those key ‘life stages’ that you hear so much about. I’m not longer living at home.
It’s quite a surreal feeling actually – being away from the house I spent the most formative years of my life in; being away from my mum and my sister. To be perfectly honest, I only really feel like I’m half moving. I’m actually living with the Cottee family for the time being, so it only really feels like a baby step in the right direction!
It’s days like today when I am reminded that I have so much to learn. There are parts of my life that I have pulled together so well – aspects of my character I’m so pleased with and experiences that have helped to define who I am. Living away from home, for however long this season might be, is something that will build me, shape me and grow me. Something that I’ve added to the ‘to work-on’ list. My life has been condensed into a suitcase and a half and I’m ready for a new adventure.
Bring it on!
