Today has been incredible. Thirteen baptisms this morning followed by a great time watching England’s rugby victory over Ireland with some amazing people and church again this evening. A wonderful day. However, having just arrived home and (as is my custom) looking at my calendar for the week ahead, I’ve realised I’ve made a bit of a blunder. Today was supposed to be my assignment day. Oops.
Quite how I missed it so terribly, I simply do not know. The first assignment of my next degree module is due soon; too soon in fact. My calendar tells me that I have about two hours of free time between now and the deadline date. I’ve crammed my days with so much stuff that there is very little room for any late, poorly planned additions. It seems I have a bit of a problem. Saying that, I’m acutely aware of the fact I’m writing about not having time whilst writing a blog post. Hey, I’ve only got 19 days to go, nothing is going to stop me from finishing now!
Time management – I have yet to master it. Certainly I’m better than I was; infinitely more so. Unfortunately, I’m still falling woefully short of the mark. I think I’m in for a few late nights this week, but the prospect of knowing that I’m going to squeeze every ounce of opportunity out of the week ahead is one that deeply stirs me. Time to put my head down and get to work!
